Corry's Guest House has a private driveway plus a spacious, shaded side yard to accommodate the comfortable 850' guest lodging. behind it is a 3 1/2 acre lighted, private park which includes a shaded picnic area, swings, a "Texas style" cooker, fire pit, and picnic tables (cooking and firewood is free). An attractive wooden bridge crosses a small creek and leads to our sheltered cove. The cove funnels into Lake Fork and bass fishing unparalleled in the State of Texas. Arguably, unparalleled in the United States.

Since this photo was taken below, the grass has filled in nicely, and shutters have added a touch of warmth. To the left is the Corry home, then the breezeway, and then the garage. Pictured is Corry's Guest House. There are separate driveways and entrances, and total privacy.

Tall oaks and hickories shade most of the grounds. Hummingbirds buzz our feeders from Spring till Fall. Woodpeckers, cardinals, blue birds, finches, doves, squirrels, and raccoons regularly accept the hospitality of our backyard treats. Occasionally, we see deer in the woods, and there are beaver in the cove. My heart always beats faster when I experience a bald eagle gracing our sky.

From our boathouse dock, the largest fish caught thus far in 1996 was a 12.5 pound blue catfish. Many guests enjoy fishing from the dock, and several nice bass up to 8.7 pounds have been landed there. Pan fish abound in the cove. Great crappie fishing seasonally awaits anglers just outside the cove under the 515 bridge. Professional bass and crappie guides are available.
